May 2010: Skarveheimen
This years springtrip to Skarveheimen, a mountain area north from Hardangervidda. Stayed at the cabin Skorpebu (1640moh) and made small trips in the area at daytime. Great weekend with locals, Tore, Kari and Jarle. Hopefully we will be back next year.

February 2010: NSHK annual winterraces at Grimsbu, Folldal
Anka competed in 8-dog class 16km x2. Came in third and last. First day with Hejira/Foo fronting the team, but Hejira was not in the mood or in shape and really slowed the team down. Second day she stayed in the car, Meg and Muddy was put in front and did a great job. A weekend filled with laughs and bad humor among good friends.

May 2009: NSHK specialty show at Åstjern - Brandbu
We took all 11 dogs with us on the 1,5 hours drive to Brandbu on saturday 30.5, and arrived just before the show started at 10.00. Jack was the first one out, perfect handled by Gitte Alhaug. A part from the comments on his weight, he got good critics and placed 1JK, 4JKK, then Zappa 1UK, 2UKK, Meg 1JK, 3JKK and finally Foo 1UK, 3UKK. All sunny and warm weather, happy and sunburned people. JP Norris and Kari Skogen from the Alaskan of Anadyr (USA) kennel, did tell us about and showed a lot of photos from the past and present life of this famous Siberian kennel in Willow Alaska. Åstjern was the perfect place for this kind of arrangement.

February 2009: NSHK annual winterraces at Grimsbu, Folldal
Anne-Katrine entered in the sprintrace 2x10 km. Dogs in the team: Hejira, Muddy, Lemmy and Bruno (borrowed from Stig and Elin Torp). Results at: www.siberian-husky.net. We had a great time and shared a small cabin with fam. Hunskår/Pedersen and Torp.

September 2008 Same procedure as last year...
..just having a great time with friends and dogs at Golsfjellet. Astrid and Larry Berntsen, Stig and Elin Torp, Tore, Elin and Vetle Hunskår and Tom Arne Kristiansen and all the fury animals that brought us together. The weather was perfect and our 7 young/puppie dogs behaved well despite their lack of social training, and of course the 6 well trained and experienced adult dogs.

July 2008: Meet Snørokk`s Jack and Meg White (BlackJack`s Jericho of Jedeye x Sassicaia`s Crystal Whiskers)
Finaly we could pick up these cuties at kennel Snørokk. Meg is on breeding terms. They are named after the two members of "The white stripes". Info about parents at Snørokk kennel homepage.

May 2008: Hardangerviddatrip (and spring is in the air)
Marks the end of winterseason. The adult dogs and Anne-Katrine joined Kari, Ulf, Tuva and Hein Hope, Elin Pedersen, Tore and Vetle Hunskår and Stig Torp on a relaxing trip to this beautiful mountainarea.
   
A nothing but relaxed weekend! Life is hard on Siberian mushers :)

April 2008: Lita is now a housepet
Living an activ and happy life with 2 males (1 Siberian and 1 Toller), Jan Vegar Sæter and family on a chickenfarm (!) in Solør.

Hans Petter entered 12 km x 2 race in 6-dog class. (Hejira, Cooper, Emil, Muddy, Bela and Lemmy) Results at: www.siberian-husky.net We did enjoy the company of Stig and Elin Torp, Tore, Elin and Vetle Hunskår in Femundstua.

Desember 2007: Gausdal 5-mila (50km)
Anne-Katrine entered with 5 Stykket- dogs and 1 borrowed. Mild and windy weather and also rain during the trip. A heavy trail made us miss Ozzys power a lot. Results can be seen at : www.gausdaltrekkhundklubb.com

Desember 2007: Ozzy died
Sudden and unexpected of pneumothorax, only 6 years old. Most likely caused by an infection in his lungs. His death is still a mystery to us. The loss of our all time commandleader and favourite dog fills us with great sorrow and emptyness. We will miss him forever.

Desember 2007: Gus was put to sleep
Only 8 years old, but with a chronic infection in his mouth, witch made his teeth fall out. Now he is roaming the eternal huntinggrounds with all fresh and cleen teeth!

October 2007: Hejira/Muddy litter born
28.10.07 Hejira gave birth to 3 females and 2 males. Four of them by caesarian operation.

May 2007: Polarbreens Doffen left us and went back to his owner Tom Arne Kristiansen
Doffen has been a great contribution to the team the season 2006/07. He has the most lovely, non-conflict and diplomatic personality we have ever experienced in a dog. Both humans and dogs at Stykket will miss him a lot.
